User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe tried this place on a friends recomendation & it is great! Awsome clam chowder, Lobster roll was great. They have catfish fried in cornmeal!Laidback & casual. Nice staff. We'll definately return soon & often!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of my very favorite restaurants in St Petersburg. The onion rings are fantastic! The salad is terrific. And that is not saying anything about the seafood, which is superb.
I take visitors there to sample the local color (AND great seafood!).
WONDERFUL PLACE. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Casual Clams for maybe 10 years. I have never heard of a bug in the food in all of that time until I read a review. I am wondering if there is any truth to this statement, as Polly (Owner) would never allow a salad to be served without some immediate action taken. The Customer has always been treated with the utmost respect and service is always exceptional. There are times when they have their peak hours and are a little busy, but in every case the food is worth the wait.
Polly one of the owners has always insisted on fresh seafood daily. I have never in ten years been disappointed in the quanity, and qualitity of food. The Clams are fresh, and lobster salad sandwiches are typical New England style loaded with fresh lobster. If you are from New England and desire some good old New England style cooking this is the best I have eaten anywhere including some places back home (CAPE COD & PLYMOUTH). This restaurant is top of the line and really will be enjoyed by all who enjoy New England Style Seafood. Bon Apetite
