This place sucks now. Hook would be turning in his grave if he knew how bad this place has become. I think they sold it to some lady.

Anyway, the fish was not fresh and crisp but rather soft and slimy. My salmon roe was gross-- the eggs were all popped & mutilated-- like they had been frozen & defrosted. Seems like they are running a skeleton crew with inferior supplies.

Even the waitress was an airhead. Forgot my beer. I sat there for almost 30 minutes and finally realized my drink wasn't coming. Finally had to grab the (new) owner as she walked by and asked for a saki. She ended up bringing me a beer and a saki. I said the reason I ordered the saki was because I thought the waitress forgot my beer so I just started over.

Anyway, the food sucks. The aura sucks. Not the Hook's I used to know. Oh, and did I mention, the food sucked? Really, all stale-- and this was a Saturday night!!! You figure they'd shape up and do a good job on a Saturday. I'm never coming back. What's offensive is that they are still using Hook's name to perform this sorry service. They should just take the "Hook" off so that the name is simply "Sushi Restaurant."

Are condolences to Hook's Family, friends and staff. He was a visionary whos presence in the sushi community will truly be missed. - Caroline & John former Cafe' Tsunami

This is a very so-so place. The wait staff did not seem very friendly, could be the fact not one of the waitresses smiled since we entered the restaurant. The food is not that great either. For the price I paid I got quantity instead of quality for the food. It took us the rest of the day to finish eating the leftovers. We ate it only because we do not like to waste food, not because the food is good. Advance sushi lovers craving for uni had better look elsewhere as the price for that is ten dollars for two pieces. Where do they think they're at? New York?
