We had lunch here and it was not too crowded...we had three adults and three kids. First, the onion rings are a must and the horseradish sauce is great with them. We all had grouper sandwich and the fried was more than most can eat so you get your moneys worth. About the same as Crabby Bills but the onion rings were to die for. Service was good.
This eatery gets a mixed review from me. On one hand the food was very good - but conversely, the overall " dining experience" was awful. My grouper sandwich was superb in both taste and portion. What a large piece of tasty grilled grouper...mmmm. But, the noise in this place made me question my hearing. Perhaps I was going deaf. Were the three loud families - direct from Saturday Night Live - really THAT loud. Yes. My lovely date and I were forced to become Loud Family #4 in order to hear one another. This place had more noise than a Rays game. I'll never complain about cowbells again. So, while my food was excellent, this cramped, dirty (please clean the floors), loud restaurant won't get a return visit from me. Back to Frenchy's I go!
I was really looking forward to sharing a new experience with someone special. Besides no atmosphere, so loud you couldn't hold a conversation, the food and presentation was mediocre, and service was poor. Suggestion, full length doors besides saloon doors would do nicely in closing in the kitchen hiding the dirty floors. Sadly, there ended up being nothing special at all about the entire night - except regrets! I won't be back!
