St Petersburg Ale House

One of the worst "so-called" "Fresh" Seafood places left in FlorIda. ALL of their seafood is brought in frozen, (be it mahi, tilapia, or their so called "grouper"). I heard from a former manager, that NOTHING from their kitchen is fresh, and that everything comes in either frozen or pasteurized. Even their soups of the day are Campbell's quality.. Just ask your server and you will hear the truth. Anyway, this is a chain with frozen fish, and steaks (which we never touched upon yet...) and no regard to freshness and taste. Do not be mistaken, this is a chain not unlike Bennigan's or Applebee's: Question is: Where are you going to eat this weekend????

Great sports bar with great food. Everything on the menu is top notch. Be warned it's more restaraunt than bar though. The clientel is mostly male, so much so that many girls I know refer to it as "the Male House". Don't let that scare you off though. It's definately co-ed and many families enjoy the dining as well.

My boyfriend and I are really disappointed with the Ale House. We've gone only a couple times and now those couple times have come back to bite us. We went in July and then again in August, and they had just now taken the money from our bank account on the 15th of August. Thats a couple weeks in between our visits and they decide to take it out at the same time. I was told that Regional would call me, and they didnt so I called back and talked to the GM...granite he was helpful, but a free meal isnt going to get my money back when I needed it most. We went there having the money to spend for a good meal, and yet it didnt get taken out like it should have. They said systems were down and they got new computers, and they also told me corporate never informed them of a problem. Well they should keep in contact with corporate more to let customers know before they signed that paper because maybe they had a way for an alternate payment. Almost 4 weeks until they put there batch work through is ridiculous. I was told many people have been callin about this problem....but yet all im gettin offered is a free meal to replace this problem? I dont think so. Thats money I had when we went so thats no big deal, but you took it out now and its money I dont have. So were definately not pleased with the Ale House and were gonna continue to talk to corporate and regional until something is done!!
