| About: | Across from Tropicana Field , this bar makes a good pre-game stop and one in which you won't miss a moment of sports, whether they're taking place across the street or across the nation. To get you stoked up for a heavy day of bleacher and/or couch umpiring, the bar offers a basic menu of well-loved snacks (from a plate of chicken wings to a burger or a chicken sandwich), perhaps accompanied by a pint of the grill's five draft beers. You can opt for indoor dining or sit outside on the patio. A full bar serves wine and cocktails as well as a variety of other libations and, for those who want to test their abilities, there's a game room. Food is served until midnight. |

Noted a few of the other comments. We visited on Saturday afternoon, Febraury 14, 2009. I have to agree with those who said the service was bad and the add-on charges to have celery, blue cheese dressing and ranch dressing is ridiculous. Two people waited almost an hour for a cold hamburger and 10 wings which included the extra charges.
Don't go, there are better places that really appreciate your business.
Even the waitress realized that we had waited a long time, coming to the table twice to tell us that our food would be there in a minute or two.
Bad experience, bad choice.
Stay away from Ferg's. Service is poor it is hard to get a drink or refills. Their wings are high and they add on charges for carry out container. If you order a large order of wings there is a ex charge. Here is the sad part, when I called to order take-out on wings and was told to call back later after the game starts due they are to busy to take any orders. Maybe after the ball team moves, they will be willing to treat other customer better. Maybe the lack of business, will make the management think twice about the way they treat other customers. Go to Limey's Pub on 4th st n or Midtown Sundries on 1 ave s for cheaper and better wings.
Best place before and after the game: Great beer specials, plenty of bartenders, and multiple bars. Has all the major sport packages so you can catch up on out of town games also. The prices are great and the atmosphere is solid. No trip to the Trop is complete without a trip to Ferg's.
