We went to Okeefe's on election night because they advertised an election party - featuring a drink named for Barak Obama. We had a table of six, had drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert while we watched the returns on the big screen. Before a President was declared about 3 people came to the bar area and started playing the jukebox. It was so loud we couldn't hear the tv we were literally right in front of. Twice the employees completely muted our tv and cranked the juke box louder. When we asked for a manager she said the tv would never be louder than the juke box and that the patrons at the bar paid the bars bills so she couldn't tell them not to play it. Numerous times the volume was cranked on the Juke box and that was employees not patrons and it was headbanger music so loud we literally couldn't hear ourselves talk. Finally, she suggested we move to another room. So, after our party including a handicapped patron moved, they turned off the juke box and cranked the volume to the tv. The manager was really rude and seemed incredulous that in response to their advertising an election party we had actually come interested in the outcome of the election. We will never go back due to her rudeness and the unwillingness to compromise and keep the juke box at a reasonable volume. We were stuck though if we wanted to see the acceptance speech. A terrible experience - who knows maybe she was a McCain supporter and it was sour grapes.
