User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMade a trip out to the Village Inn in Largo and had a really good breakfast. This 1970's style diner restaurant was clean and tidy filled with generously sized oldfashioned booths and featured an extended dining area with freestanding tables and chairs perfect for a business or family breakfast,lunch or dinner get together. Top off the meal with a slice of Pie and you will be everybodies friend. Village Inn best known for their award winning pies is a wonderful Diner Eatery that has a comprehensive breakfast menu honed from their humble start in 1958 as a breakfast joint in Colorado and now a good basic lunch and dinner menu as well. Prices are reasonable in the Denny's range and the staff is experienced,fast and friendly. I ordered their new featured item "Supreme Crepes" and Coffee on the side. The Sup Crem consisted of Made-from-scratch crepes filled with scrambled eggs, country sausage, hamburger, bacon, onions, spinach and cheese. Topped with hollandaise sauce, diced tomatoes and bacon. Served with hash browns. The crepes were moist and enjoyable. The hash browns were basic. The coffee was good and arrived with a full pot of more coffee and a bowl of creme pods. Jams and sweetners were on the table. Total bill 9 and some change.
On a side observation I noticed there was a pay phone in the front lobby for patrons convenience and a long cushioned bench at the entrance for waiting. There's also a crane machine at the entrance to amuse the kids as they try picking up stuffed toys to win.
Delightful cool back in the day feel diner. Check this place out for your next meal. The staff will make you feel right to home. There's more to meet the eye than pie here. Check out the website for full menu details.
