Amazing wings. Went to Mugs and Jugs while visiting family down there. I don't usually prefer wings, or so I thought. The wings were delicious and the sauce is addicting. The service was great. We walked in a immediately felt welcome. Our server Ashley was funny and kept the mood right the entire visit. Highly recommended and definitely try the wings.
Don't listen to the Wanderer. His experience with the waitresses is RARE. These are by far the best wings I have ever had!! And I have NEVER been charged for Blue Cheese or Ranch Dressing. Maybe if you were to get extra, but I find the ammount that comes with the meal is perfect. If you you're willing to pay just a little extra, asl for the curly fries with your boneless wings. It really makes the meal the best in all of Tampa. If you're not a wing fan, check out the Mugsy dog. It's a monster of a hotdog, and piled high with everthing. I tried it once and it was one the best hotdogs I've had. I had it pilled high with chilli, cheese, and onions.
I recommend them to everyone I talk to. I only wish they had more locations! Whenever a family member or a friend comes in from out of town, they insist we go there. So take my advice. GO NOW!!!
Only my first visit but I'll give M 'n J just an 'OK' rating. Went to the Clearwater location on a Sunday night while visiting from NJ. They have a ton of flat screen TVs with probably every NFL game shown. Had the regular wings with medium sauce-wings are big and meaty but sat in about two inches of sauce in the bottom of the bowl. Medium sauce is a bit too sweet. Sounds like I should have had the boneless ones. Contrary to other reviews-they DO charge for ranch or blue cheese dressing. Good selection of draft and bottled beers-chilled mugs given with each draft beer. Bar service is decent, but you need to be a regular to get any type of conversation. I arrived for the 8PM SNF game and one barkeep was more interested in getting ready to leave than remember what I was drinking-and it wasn't crowded. The other took the money I laid out for my tab and said "Thank you, honey!" without asking if I wanted the change-the tip would have been 40%! The place is not THAT good. Hooter's or even BWW need not worry. Will try the Wing House next time I'm in the area. Good luck with your new baby and upcoming wedding, Amber!
