Florida Technical College provided me with the tools to obtain a job as a medical assistant. Ms. Gibbs taught us if we were pursing a degree in nursing. The school gave me the foundation, but it was left up to me to learn the information. Thank FTC for helping some one who was out of school for a long time achieve thier dream.

This school is a joke. First financial aid counsler could not seem to add 2+2, as she constantly miscalculated my balance, to the schools favor. The classes are designed so that you are guaranteed to pass, I was given answers to every test before taking it and most tests are open book. The instruction in the field I studied was very basic and generic, and left me with more questions, than answers and I was constantly "REQUIRED" to attend seminars for colleges in their network that usually was nothing more than a "SALES PITCH". The professors are very liberal and push political and social agendas on their students. I protested a Muslim instructors blatant trashing of Christianity in a computer programming course and was threatened with a failing grade (I walked straight to the dean and threatened to call my student loan provider and was admitted back after missing two weeks of college, the professor kept his opinions to himself for fear of losing his job after that). The college also only has accreditation on a local level. I still haven't found an employer or another reputable college, that will recognize the training that I received there. It is better to go to a Community College than a college like this one, plus it is far less expensive.

Thanks for the Education: It's a small college dedicated to the success of its students. From the Student Support Services, Professors, all the way up to the Administrator, everyone is genuinely concerned with the students achieving their goals.
