After listening to the local news I was compelled to write this. I can not believe that the principal of this school would deny a student the right to walk with his class mates for graduation because he did not attend all of the rehersals, it is not rocket science. To take that moment of pride from his parents, friends & other family members is a sin. This is a disgrace. Steven Franzen should not have to miss what he has worked for and the many accomplishments he has achieved to be left out of one of the most memorable moments of his lif and his parents.
If I were a memeber of his family I would be in that principal's office with everyone I know. I would take this to the school board, the media & anyone that would listen. This is just wrong! The school did not state that it was mandatory to attend rehersals and that is the bottom line! This young man and his family should not be in this position. This should be a happy occasion for this family and this principal is stilling this from them!
