    Peebles has the best Barbque I have EVER tasted. Their sauce is DELICIOUS, the simplicity of the menu and "at home" feeing you get when you visit is wonderful. I always stop by when I am in polk county.

    As you are coming off Interstate 4, take the Polk Parkway then get off on the Old Dixie Hwy. Head towards Auburndale and on the right hand side is a screened in building that honest to God, looks like someone's screen room. Inside of this 75 yr old building is some of the best finger lickin barbecue the ol South has to offer. They barbecue pork, beef, and chicken. It is truly a mouth watering experience. When you order a dinner, you receive 2 slices of white bread, barbecue sauce, the meat, potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans. Everything is fresh. The coleslaw is real sweet and the beans have a little meat added to extra flavor. If you have lived here for awhile, you know Peeble's Barbecue is closed during the summer months, and only open 3 days a week - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Whenever we have company, we make sure to call ahead of time and get our orders filled at Peeble's. We pick it up. They only take a check or cash, no debit/credit cards. They are family owned and real nice people eager to please. You got to try them out! Yum, Yum! Boy Howdy! Peeble's!

    They don't cook chicken. Just ribs, chopped pork, or sliced beef plates. And it's the best around at great prices!
