Lakeland Bagels

These bagels are NOT N.Y style bagels AT ALL. I traveled 25 minutes to get there based on the review and advertisement and walked into this tiny place sandwiched between a Panarra and big beautiful deli/bakery.Location was the least of this stores problems...bagels were small(not proofed enough) and felt stale..I gave them 2 seperate tries because I thought the first time I went there in the afternoon and thought that may have been the cause of the stakeness...NOT! I "tried" to make small talk with the unfriendly owner by explaining I was from NY also...he had to force himself to reply me(he is the younger hispanic man there not the older one who at least smiled) . Choice in bagel types??? VERY basic,very small(because they are not proofing them properly) ...I dislike Panera bagels but if I had to choose between the 2 I would chose panera now...many strikes against this lakeland bagels...Location,poor quality product,unfriendly/rude owner and worker,lack of choice,etc....I will be VERY surprised if this place stays in business...many thumbs down to my 2 experiences there.

Quality fresh-baked bagels and pastries. Great coffee. They cater! Fast service and an amicable atmosphere. A great local shop that simply stands head and shoulders above its chain-competitors.
