The Shake Shoppe

PROS:Moderate to good prices, quick service, good tuna sandwhich for 3.00, drink prices probably best in town. Close to park and downtown area of Auburndale.


CONS: No public bathroom or indoor seating. There are a few old picnic tables to sit at outside....hard to sit at with 90 degree temps.

This place reminds me of an old time custard stand.

We enjoy the shake shoppe. My husband goes there every day for tea. I like the location and the food is good. The people that work there are friendly and they know you by your name as well as what you want before you order. I also wish they would stay open just a little bit later. I got there 3 min after they closed the other day.

Missing Lots of Business: The Shake Shoppe has a great location. The prices are great and it's a fun place to stop by. The big problem is they close so early. They are across the street from the park and tennis courts and they close early and if they want they just shut down early for the day. Many times we have driven over to discover they were closed and we aren't the only ones.
Because they close early, we discovered two other icecream stores. These venues stay open much later and have good icecream. We want the Shake Shoppe to be successful because we love Auburndale. But come on, you gotta be open when we want icecream!
