About:Eating a hamburger at the Matanzas Seafare Company should be a crime. The waterfront restaurant, located off Matanzas Pass, offers a variety of fresh seafood prepared in a variety of ways. Try a fresh catch fish sandwich (USD7.95) for lunch or a shrimp salad (USD10.95). For dinner, start off with a gator tail appetizer (USD7.50), followed by blackened, crowned or stuffed grouper (USD17.95). There are a few offerings for vegetarians. Eat outside, looking over the water, or inside, looking at pictures of Pete the Pirate egret. There is also a lounge upstairs with live entertainment.

Service Lacking at this Establishment: Amidst overpriced food, and poorly lit tables, possibly designed to be romantic, but more likely set up to trip someone on the uneven floors, from having been flooded in so many storms, this restaraunts dining severly missed the mark.
After what seemed like forever appetizers arrived, and right on top of that the salad. alk about bad timing, and even worse was coming, before these were consumed, diner was approaching.
The food arrived, and the pasts was overcooked, not the Al-Dente that it should have been, and as such, it was disappearing into the sauce, becoming a flour-sauce paste mess, and not appetizing at all.
The fish on the side was not pleasing either, as it was bony, and slightly undercooked.
A complaint to the waitress fell on deaf ears, and as it was closing time, no substitute was proffered.
A trip to the mens room was also a disaster, as it was a mess, toilet paper on the floor, the waste can overflowing, and a general mess of sand and slop.
Not a place I care to visit again.

Great Food and nice outdoor patio: My wife and I had a wonderful meal outside on the patio. The staff was very friendly. Get the stuffed grouper.
