The sad part is that Ada's has not been very forthcoming about their in all of this. First, the Ada's store in Cape Coral closed (no advance notice), the 10% once-a-moth discount was silently discontinued (a store employee told me that all of the items would be permanently marked down - didn't happen), and the last few visits I've made I have found none of the items I looked for. It's going out of business without the sale.
For alternatives, In Fort Myers/ Cape Coral, try MOTHER EARTH. In Naples, there is a delightful little store called FOOD AND THOUGHT.
Seems like since the late Summer Ada's shelves have not been re-stocked...then Cape Coral closed suddenly.
In the meantime Whole Foods, which is excellent, is already open in most of the areas that Ada's has planned to go: Naples, Sarasota, Tampa, Weston, and Coral Springs.
I couldn't echo Mearas sentiment any more. I went back to Ada's for the first time in a couple of years. It's quite a drive for me now (30+ miles) and made the special trip to pick up a few things. I normally buy things online, but with shipping costs on the rise, I wanted to combine a couple of purchases (bulk foods, healthcare items, etc.) into one trip. Well, there was nothing there. The bulk foods section, not exaggerating, had less than 50% of the items in stock. When I made a comment to the employee about the inventory, he just laughed. I left without buying anything and will never make the trip again. I'll go back to buying online, or if I'm in Naples, I'll go to the new Whole Foods there.
