| About: | For a night a dinner and dancing, head to Jacaranda on Sanibel Island. While the decor isn't exactly romantic, the food is good and the atmosphere is comfortable. For dinner, try one of their many seafood specialties, like baked stuffed grouper. The full bar offers excellent margaritas, served in plastic cups. You can eat inside, or outside on the enclosed patio. The reggae band plays every weekend from 9pm-12:30am. During the week, there's Dixie Land Jazz, Top 40 covers, or rock, so call ahead to see which band is playing. |

Very nice atmosphere, also one of the nicest outdoor dining areas on the island as it is screened. There is entertainment in the evening under the stars. The food is very good for the most part, The early bird menu is a best buy on Sanibel.
Great food, great service--best we had in Sanibel: Of the 5 restaurants we visited in our Sanibel trip, this had the best food. The grouper was outstanding and the service was great. We had read that this was an outdoor/patio/live music place and not so much of an upscale restaurant, but were pleasantly surprised at the fine dining here. Our kids enjoyed it too.
Fine dining with a casual ambiance: The Jacaranda maintains the island lifestyle by melding fine dining with a casual feel. The food is consistently wonderful and the staff is some of the best on the island. Would go again, again, and again!
