Joey's Way Calamari is so spicy and tender-enough to satisfy the pickiest goomba. If you want Italian done right, come see Joey. When it comes to food, he's the capo di tutti capi.

    We've owned a condo at South Seas Towers for about 5 years. The first restaurant we tried was Joey's. The food and service were both horrendous, and we vowed we would never go back. After getting into town this year we noticed it had been remodeled and thought that it may be it was under new ownership. Boy were we wrong. Went in for an early lunch and waited in the entry for 7-10 minutes as 4 different people passed us before we were seated. Food was expensive and soup kitchen quality at best. As a popular political phrase went this year, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig." That saying fits here perfect. Should have spent the money on better food and help instead of lipstick. Don't be fooled like we were, drive a little further and have your choice of restaurants at Marco Walk Plaza.

    Calamari Joey's Way is by far the best calamari my husband, friends and I have ever had, and we have had calamari all over New York! The first thing we do when we get to our Marco condo is figure out when our first meal at Joey's will be. We talk about it before we get there, too. Joey's - WE MISS YOU! Can't wait to get back down there!

    We just returned from Marco and will be back for a week two more times this season and definitely won't be back to this restaurant. Lacking quality, service and value. Food was not fresh, waited 10-15 minutes after being seated for waiter to come to table. We were just about to leave when he came to table and continued conversation with a female co-worker. Should have left at that point, our mistake. Won't happen again.
