I have been going to the Pub for over a year and have always had a pleasnat time. The bartenders and wait Staff are great. The food is also great. Try the English breakfast. On thursday nights there is trivia and you need a good sense of humor. If you want a Cheers type bar then you need to gosomewhere else. If you want a good time with friendly people then the English Pub is the place to go
I'm at the pub almost every Thursday night for trivia and many other nights as well. The atmosphere is cheeky and definitly has an adult flavor to it, but it is a bar after all and not a nursery school! Trivia night is great fun and the quiz mistress is delightful, full spit and vinager and a good dose of sugar to make it go down nicely. The food is great and I have to second all those who praise the curries!
One of the best parts about the pub is that it is frequented by people of all sorts and with the exception of a few like the former reviewer everyone gets along famously despite their differences. I would recommend it to anyone with a good sense of humor and a warm heart!
Was horrified to read the review written by Ignatius. Forces me to wonder if he was one of the rude people disrupting our quiz night by looking for free drinks? Also makes me wonder if i am one of the troglodytes and if my husband is one of the dirty old men? If this is the youth of Naples i would be pleased if they left my local with all its wonderful staff and fellow locals alone and frequented somewhere more worthy of them! We have been going there for 10 years and have loved every visit. They have a charm that would be much missed in this town. The food is wonderful - try the Sweeney Todds steak pie and the beers are of the best selection in town. So to all the spoiled children - please go elsewhere !!!
