For my new-found friends on Marco Island....
Jennifer, Donna, Michelle, Jenna & Doobie:

When I found out we were going to spend the winter in Florida one of my girlish concerns was leaving my Aveda salon at home. I've been a client there for the past 6 years and was nervous about trying a salon in FL.

When we got down there I asked around and my sister-in-law mentioned a place where she gets her manicures & pedicures and several of her friends get their nails & hair done as well.....SALON 1011

For those of you prospective clients out there reading this; I have colored & highlighted unruly, curly, kinky, dry, frizzy hair and lots of it. My Aveda salon at home says my hair isn't terribly damaged because I have it cut so often, but extremely curly hair just naturally has those tendencies. Any lightening of color and heat used to style it will just contribute to the dryness. Don't get me wrong, I trust and adore the people at my Aveda salon, they are constantly trying new products & treatments on me, many times even for free, just to see if anything will help to calm down my hair and make it shine and behave better.

Getting back to checking out SALON 1011.....
I wasn't sure I should go anywhere other than an Aveda salon but I decided the next time my sister-in-law needed a manicure, I would tag-along just to see what the salon was like.

All it took was about 20 mins of being at SALON 1011 and talking with the salon owner, the nail tech, the other hair stylist and the receptionist.....I felt so comfortable and assured. Also important to me was the fact that their are all so knowlegeable, genuine, friendly and down to earth!

In 4 months time, I went three times to have color & cut and stopped in several more times just to shop for products and cute little gift items they sell there.

Let me tell you, my hair is completely different. Everytime someone at home sees me since I've returned, one of their first
comments is: Your hair looks great, what did you do?! Heck, it even still surprises me everytime I look in the mirror or when I blow-dry it and see how shiny and smooth it is.

I have SALON 1011 to thank because of the time and care not only my stylist (Donna) and the owner (Jennifer) took, but each and every person that works there. The first time I visited the nail tech was buffing my nails which she did just to be nice while I waited for my sister-in-laws nails to dry. She told me about a product that changed my hair almost from the first time I used it...(Thank you again Michelle!) The receptionist (Jenna)heard her talking about it, jumped up, grabbed the product and put it on my hair so I could see what it does. I'm still using it along with two others they introduced me to for my type of hair. They still continue to improve my hair every time I use them. They even have a professional who does facials and permanent makeup. I saw several clients who had eyeliner applied and I was oh so tempted! (maybe next time Doobie).

I cannot say enough good or enough Thank You's to describe how elated I am to have found them. Everytime I went there I not only rec'd professional haircare but I laughed and had so much fun each time.

I will definately recommend you to anyone who might inquire and I will absolutely be back if I spend time in Florida again.
