User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLove this place!!! Tastiest burgers imaginable and so glad they are no longer at the beach shack--which is a dump. Ice cold Bud drafts for a $1 too. You can't beat the prices. Real old Florida ways and attitude. Carpet baggers beware. Make mine a double, all-the-way!

The review after mine just doesn't get it. Duffy's is a tradition, with a lot of Holmes Beach History attached to it. Duffy's actual "grill" is over 50 years old. The reviewer after mine doesn't obviously have a taste for an "old fashioned burger". (Too much Macdonald's). Pat Geyer, owner, was the previous Mayor of the area, and was happy to sign my "stamp out Skinnys" tee shirt for me. (If you don't know the Skinny's take over story you probably have never been to the Duffy's old location across from the Manatee Public Beach.) Pat's daughters run the place, and yes, they are quite laid back, but to get to know them is to LOVE them, just like the Burgers! GREAT AFTER BEACH, AFTER ANYTHING PLACE. Try it. And while you are at it - try to make the girls behind the bar smile - it aint easy..but fun.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsBurgers Were As Dull and Tastless as Their Staff: If you like to be ignored, mistreated, and enjoy bad food, this is the place for you. Don't be fooled by what used to be called the Island's best burger joint; that's a myth. Duffyâs was dirty, their staff was as friendly as prison guards, and their burgers were tasteless. No matter how hungry you are, the food would be better at the closest gas station.

Clearly this person went to the old Duffy's location which is now Stinky's.
We can't wait to get to Duffy's. I hope no one believes that bad review! I am a 3rd generation Duffy's fan, and my Son and daughter-in law will be the 4th generation that will love the place. One of the greatest burgers on the earth! See You the 1st week of June. Kate, South Bend IN
