User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was born in Bangkok and am Thai. I grew up eating moms Thai food and have learned to prepare a few dishes myself. This is the closest to moms cooking that I have had. I've been to numerous Thai restaurants from Texas to Virginia and back to Florida. This is the best out there. I have several Thai restaurants around where I live but drive the 50 miles to get the good stuff. The atmosphere and decor is excellent. I recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai food

Best Thai food in Sarasota. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is fantastic and everyone is so nice. It is truly an authentic Thai experience. If you come to Sarasota you must eat at Bangkok Restaurant.

Bluntly: the best restaraunt in Sarasota and the best Thai restaraunt I have ever been to. The curry here will ruin you forever, no other restaraunt will meet your standards. The duckling is the biggest draw, however all of the classic Thai entrees are represented here. and better than anywhere else. The decor is beautiful, the hand-carved artisan tables being star of the show, and the service is attentive and accomodating.
A favorite for years, I have never been disappointed.
