Hi i'm Ashley, 2 months ago i was turning 14 and was searching for the first right dog for me. When i checked the humane i didnt find what was meant for me, then i went to the animal shelter. When i first walked in the room i was stunned to find the dog that was my furry twin!! It ws a 4 year old daschund female which i love sooo very much. We hit it off from the start right there and then. Even though they have crappy employees, they could have the dog you could love forever sitting right there waiting for you. Im am looking forward to adopting a big breed dog for my daschund Pumpkin :) I hope all of you find somewhere in your heart to save an animal from getting put down and be your best friend for life (:

I was evicted from my house this past Tuesday . A combination of loosing a roomate and having my hours cut caused me to fall behind on my rent .I always owned my own home and had no problem having and taking very good care of my 4 dogs and two cats.
All but one animal has been put up for adoption The one dog, Mishka, a Shepard/Sharpie cross was deemed unadoptabple The reason being was that she was too shy to come out of her cage She is a very soft natured dog, as any pofessional dog handler would have seen. And, she was previously abused before I adopted her .PLEASE give her a chance. She is a very sweet , and gentle animal that deserves a good home . I beg that someone will help her She always loved to sleep close to my side
I am pecently staying with different friends and have no permanant place to live. I could not take my animals with me They were the world to me. MIshka is at Animal Control/ The cocapooh is at the Humane society and the Lhaso Apso Mix is at BIshop and the cats at are a rescue shelter that Animal control sent too.
Today I called and was told that Mishka was going to be put down When I asked the Manger if I could make a suggestion, I have 25 years of experience training dogs, since I have woked at various dog guide schools where determining temperment is essential .I was told very rudly that the dog was signed over and that no further info would be given .
This facility needs to eliminate most of the people that work there, specifically the Manager and hire competant individuals that have more experience than is eveident So, I wish my faithful friend Mishka a better exsistance and may I see her soon.
On a final note, may he individuals involved know on a personal level what it feels like to have this happen TRULY...............
I will also be writing a leter to the local papers and to PETA
The Manager needs to learn compassion, courtsey and how to be professional She needs to go work someplace else........

Animal Control ? Control WHAT ???????: I called (ac) last week talked to a person who didnt really want to come out to get a dog that is part pitbull came running up My driveway after my dog which was on a Leash . Now I call 3-18-07 And because I didnt tell them the dog was vicious they wont do anything about it I know he is from last weekend when I called,,, I told him that after the Manger got on the phone.The Manger said for me to call about this in the morning the owers of the pitbull mix don't let him out in the day time from what i can see of the situation. So animal control is no use to me in the morning !! They are NOT fixing the problem !! I will call them One more time rest asured I will tell them the dog is vicious. And they better come out to get the dog. Thrid time is a Charm !!!
