Great Pizza Buffet and Value: My wife and I ate here a couple of times while staying on Anna Maria Island. The pizza is great and they will make any pizza you want. The buffet also includes the salad buffet. It is a great value.

Bargain deal- a made-to-order buffet!: Capalbos is a pizza buffet and take-out. In terms of food quality, it is not the best nor the worst. It is simply pretty good pizza and a small but well maintained salad bar. The thing that really caught our attention is that most pizza buffets are just loaded with the usual favorites - plain cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and something with more than one topping. You eat what you like from the choices at hand. Not so with Capalbos. When we walked in the first time, an incredibly friendly waitress found us a table and asked what kind of pizza we wanted on the buffet. That's right - you get to special order what you want. They will make it up on half of a pizza, with the other half usually being plain cheese or something like that. The buffet is all you can eat, both the pizza and the salad bar. We have two small children who between them won't eat what one older child eats. Capalbos allowed the two girls to share one child's buffet between them. For lunch, the buffet was about $5 for an adult and $4 for a child. Dinner is about a dollar or so higher. They open at 11AM six days of the week, closed on the seventh day.

The kids liked the pizza and the fact that jello and pudding were on the salad bar. We liked the custom order and the friendly service on our first visit (our second visit we had a very inattentive waitress who didn't even bring clean plates or clear the table). We would recommend this for anyone looking for a quick meal of decent pizza. The lunch buffet might cost a little more than a fast food restaurant meal, but it was tastier! There is a take-out menu and pasta choices, but we just came for the buffet.
