beware of insuring your package: the 2 times i have had an issue the postmaster has basically shrugged me off--very nice but no action--my mail gets delivered after 2 or 3 everyday yet I was suppose to have all of a sudden got my ebay package with a time of 10 in the morning-I work out of my home am there all morning--and afternoon---daa--I get the package insured and I am told it was said on the computer they delivered it in the morning--so they wont pay for the insurance and I have to wait and see if the carrier can remember from a week or two ago if he remembers if he delivered it and then maybe he will file a claim--then i will have to take time out of my work drive, spend the time and gas to fill out a form--this has happened before and got nothing from them so this is the second time--tells me why do we have the postmaster there? Of course their phone line has been busy for the last 2 hours so you have go in what recourse do we have if they can fix there paperwork to suit them--I know I was home the day of delivery -have a phone list showing I was---so beware it is up to them if they want to reimburse you-they just say sorry we show it was delivered-so don't pay for the insurace they just change their records to say it was delivered

This customer is absolutely right. I had mail stolen from my mailbox. Went to this post office two or three days later after I realized that it was listed as shipped. The postmaster (a kid only a little past twenty) told me it was stolen and that all I could do was fill out a stolen mail form. I asked for him to inquire with the carrier as to whether he remembered delivering the package. He told me the carrier was off-duty and would be back in the morning. I gave him my phone number for him to call me or have the carrier call me- then he tells me he won't be the postmaster tomorrow, it will be someone else, so he won't even be the one to call me. Needless to say I got NO calls. The entire time I could tell that he wasn't taking my issue seriously, even though I told him it was a valuable package, an important birthday present. He completely shrugged me off and never bothered to try and investigate the issue. Total waste of time, me running to the post office as fast as I could drive to get there before they closed. Do yourself a favor and deliver to something more secure.
