About:Family owned and operated since 1957, this outstanding restaurant serves a wide variety of delicious, made-from-scratch barbecue with all meats slowly cooked with Blackjack Oak and basted with a special sauce. They are also famous for their Gorgonzola Salad and serve barbecue sandwiches, fresh grilled fish, and burgers. They are open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner; closed on Sundays and Mondays.

    I do not know what the first reviewer was talking about!? Maybe they are not a Florida resident and come from a place where they premix the barbecue sauce into the meat instead of smoking it? Might also need to go on a diet too if complaining about portions! I have never left hungry...
    Anyway, Slim's BBQ is the most excellant Southern BBQ restaurant in all of Florida in my opinion.
    They slow smoke their meats and the sauce is just incredible. I am very lucky to live so close to this amazing restaurant. People come from all over Florida just to eat here! If you are ever in the area, do not miss out! Call first, because their hours can vary from what is posted.

    Slims BBQ is the driest BBQ I have ever tasted, I might as well have bought a bag of beef jerky and slapped a couple of pieces of bread around it. I guess thats why they call it Slims because you might just actually loose weight there especially with the portion sizes...

    Absolutely Fantastic! Miss it ALOT!: It has been years since I've have a Deep South BBQ pork sandwich on garlic toast with coleslaw on it! I have lived out of Florida for many years, but nothing I have had has ever come close! Definitely the best tasting BBQ pork sandwich ever!
