Despite a couple of negative comments, my enthusiasm is so great that I give Olde World five stars!!!!! The biggest plusses include the awesome hostess Shirley, many of the breakfast/lunch wait staff (Cheryl, Jennie, Lisa), as well as friendly and accommodating owners and employees behind the scenes. The breakfasts are top quality, in most cases. It is hard to go wrong, and the $2.99 weekday breakfast special is a super value. Regular music and activities are planned there, at no additional charge other than your meal and/or drinks. Do not miss out on the monthly performance by Claudio B. & Company, reservations needed. They really get the house rocking to a typically latin medley. What a MAJOR HINDRANCE is that smoking is allowed on the benches under the canopy at the entrance and sometimes you have no choice but to enter or exit through a disgustingly smelly cloud of smoke. Many of us are handicapped with breathing issues and this is a genuine problem. And the other complaint is that there is a wonderful outdoor patio that can rarely be used by anyone who is a non-smoker because the smokers really smell it up out there, too! My suggestion: have the smokers use the tables that are not under the covered area and use fans to blow the smoke towards the street, so that non-smokers may enjoy the other half of the outdoor seating. Another option: Allow smoking on the patio only after 7 pm when it is more likely that the patrons will be using the bar, drinking and smoking.
