Oriental Buffet

I took my Asian wife there for a special dinner with our new born son. It was hot inside. I told the waitress and she acted like she did not understand English. We sat down and then went to the buffet. My wife kept saying the baby was hot. She told me to go tell the manager. In the mean time, the power went out in half the restaurant. I told the manager that it was too hot and it is hard for us to enjoy our special dinner. The manager told me the power has been out for 30 minutes and that was the problem. I told him, no the power just went out. He acted like he did not care.

We sat and ate in the heat without power and they said they were not putting out any more food. I sweat while eating and my wife stopped eating to fan the baby. We asked for a to go box and they said "NO". I told them we have not even eaten one plate and it is too hot to stay here. They said "NO TO GO BOX".

So, we got up and left. The charged us the full dinner price. I told the manager that we never finished eating and the power is out and it is way to hot to stay here. He acted as he did not care. # of the employee were outside cooling off. Some of the other employees took of their bow ties and changed clothes because of the heat.

My wife is Asian. She says they are Chinese and are heartless and have no values. She said they are normally rude and emotionless.

I say tell all your friends. Look at the other reviews. They all say the same thing, "GIVE ME YOUR MONEY AND LEAVE".

Don't eat here, they do not care about you or anybody else, it's obvious!

Don't go to the Oriental Buffet if you like the all you can eat crab legs.I was there a week ago with my girlfriend and the manager who is very rude to me.Told me to go somewhere else because I ate too many crab legs.I only had two plates of them.I wanted a third plate because they are very small crab legs to begin with.I went up there to wait for the crab legs to be put into try and the manager sent the women who brings the crab out to go back to kitchen till my girlfriend and myself left the restaurant.Other people were also waiting for the crab legs and he didn't care.I paid my bill and left there and will never go back.The manager was very rude to me and I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Sarasota Restaurant Association.You don't have an all you can eat sign in front of your restaurant then dictate on how much a customer can have.

Not sure about the others that have gone but my friends and I go there 2x a week (at least)Sure the food is simple but they are producing for the masses.ever had any major problems with food or staff. The only rudness I have incountered there was from other "guest" who think they are gods or perfect, if they can do better I say let them try. This place is a fun comfortable place. Its a buffet people not some fancy french resturant. Sit and enjoy yourself and enjoy the food
