Easter Dinner was fabulous. They had a special menu offering 6 entrees.Lamb chops 1/2 rack or whole rack;veal oscar;ham;2 stuffed shrimp with 5 oz. filet mignon;2 Main lobster tails a chicken dish; & prime rib. Sides were a choice of 2..baked or baked sweet potato;garlic smashed red bliss; green beans that looked like haircots verts! Priced very reasonably 13.99 & 14.99 (maybe a 15.99 but I'm not sure). Service was wonderful, polite, very friendly and warm (kinda like eating at home on the Holiday).

The lobster tails were VERY tasty & came with more than enough melted butter infused with a lemon slice. The smashed potatoes were a perfect balance of garlic. With the lobster, only one side was given. I would have liked to add the gr. beans, but didn't see an option on the menu for adding sides. The stuffed shrimp was big
and looked yummy. The filet looked like a nice piece of meat, but my friend ordered it well done and the chef accommodated her wish.
(I think its a good thing when the chef cooks for each client, not what he/she was tought in culinary school). No one at my table had the prime rib. I saw it served at neighboring tables and it was a huge portion !! Next visit, I'll try that. In Fl. Maine lobster is so hard to find, it was a must do.

Last week the rennovations were completed providing additional seating space and bar. With this additional space, the tables were filled and maybe a party of 6 waiting a few minutes to be seated.
It is just a wonderful restaurant...very friendly staff, efficient and great food at reasonable prices. I actually haven't seen their normal dinner menu, but I'm sure it will be reasonable and good. I can't wait to go there again !!

Still the best: I just finished my fourth season entertaining outside at Althea's. I've been able to listen to the conversation of most of the people who pass through this yummy restaurant. I'm yet to hear anybody complain about the food or the value. Many of the workers have been there many more years than I have. It's a terrific place to work and an excellent place to eat. I'll be back for season five in January 2008.
