Oh, the Marina. My sister and I discovered it about 8 years ago when her in-laws were in town and, after a particularly nightmarish visit she looked at me and said, "Want to go to the Marina and drink beer and eat french fries?" That started a legacy of Marina dates. Our personal favorites are the Skipper, a sandwich consisting of a grilled chicken breast, shaved ham, swiss cheese on a toasted, buttered kaiser roll....Get their fresh honey mustard and put it on every bite, with some extra crunchy french fries....It's perfection. The burgers are excellent. The ribs, oh falling off the bone, all you can eat Thursday and Saturday...Always have homemade soups, pies, sauces. And did I mention they all yell your name out when you walk in?
Had the BEST batter fried fish ever, 3 years ago there.
Had somewhat less quality same dinner there last year.
Last night, Sept 05, 08, had the worst fried fish (mine), broiled fish (wifes), ever, even after they cheerfully recooked both orders. Paid the $24 bill for two dinners and 1/2 pitcher beer and got the heck out of there!!! Everyone has a bad day, but this was unbelievable.
I will say the staff has always been freindly (and Beautiful) when I bring others to try the GREAT BURGERS. Actually all the food ordered from the groups I have gone with was great. If anything can be done to make your meal better just ask. I love to call in a order while fishing. Pull in to dock 10 minutes later and have it all ready too eat. Back to fishing in less then 20 minutes even on tournament night.
