unique atmosphere: I'm from northeast, and make this one of my must stops when I'm in the area. I love the fish sandwich. Especially love the black bean and rice soup. being raised in the north, and that being a southern dish, I have no idea why I love it so much. but this place has a reggae atmosphere where they tend to play Bob Marley type music. it's located near the Pinellas County trail, and tend to get a lot of the people that walk/run/jog and ride bikes. but I drive there on the way to the beach for lunch. never had dinner there, but overall, food is great, and highly recommend trying at least once. sometimes fish is out of season in March due to mating or something like that. but my father says that even a hamburger is better than most places he's ever had. also large portions. difficult location to find, but worth the search. stop in the Holiday Inn Express to ask directions if you can't find it.
obviously another reviewer lost their taste buds or has revenge for somebody working there. don't know why they're trying to trash a place with great food, service, atmosphere, etc.
oh so good! My boyfriend and i had lunch here today. The sea fritters are excellent. Meaty, not greasy and made from scratch. Their house specialty salad with a mango dressing is one of the best i have had in a long time. Fresh spring mix, shaved smoked gouda, mandarin oranges and slivered almonds. The flavors blended well. The fish tacos were also great. We chose the blackened tilapia. Also had a glass of their homemade white sangria sprinkled with cinnamon-yum.
yummy: i went with 3 others and we all enjoyed it.
it can be a quiet, casual place, there is live music at times so that is fun too.
