We went out to Sam Seltzers with our two children for our son's 6th birthday. We were seated right away. Our waitress came right over to our table. I had checked the special's on their website before we went so asked her about these. She was very knowledgable. Kids eat free with an adult meal so each child got to order steak for the first time. Our adult meals were very inexpensive since they have deals. I had an 8oz steack the flavor was great. My husband had the prime rib. Our waitress was so perceptive she noticed that my husband was just a little less than pleased at the beginning with his prime rib and went a lot out of her way to make it right. He said he did like the flavor he just didn't know that prime rib has so much fat since we don't usually order it. He was able to cut away the fat and had quite a lot of meat left. She even brought us a Sam Seltzer's Napolean. This is great by the way. Our service was top notch she noticed that my daughter wanted water instead of her tea (she was borrowing mine) and brought it over without having to ask. I have to say that this was a great time and really inexpensive. Quite a lot of value for our money.
Had the prime rib first visit. Very bland. Tried the stuffed lobster second visit. By far the worst we've ever had. Dry, barely warm...yuck. Will not eat there again.
We have gone to Sam Seltzers for years for the prime rib. Without fail it has been excellent. We prefer to sit in the bar area in one of the booths as it is more private and less noisy. There have been times that we have had a coupon but ALWAYS figure the total price of the check, prior to the discount, when adding the tip. (waitresses/waiters work for tips NOT paychecks).
I agree that the vendors should be paid but do hope that this location stays open.
