After our experience there it seems that those posting positive reviews are either the owners or staff themselves
There were 4 of us who went to the Ramshakle for the 1st time last Sat night at Approx 7:30pm. After seating ourselves against the back wall the waitress we had acted like she could care less if we ate there and was not very attentive at all ( 2 couple late 40s and early 70s) I personally ordered the 10 oz steak and i am not exagerating when I say that 8oz of it was all fat ( the only decent part of the meal was the French onion soup) Our advise is skip this restaruant (until they clean up there act) as there are many other restaurants in town Also a a local retail store owner who is often asked for refferals this place lost out on ours
This is an unique local bar and restaurant that has been in operation under various names for decades. The popularity of this place speaks for itself -- drive by almost any night of the week and the patio is full to capacity.
Inside here is what you'll find -- a rustic decor wall papered with old license plates and rusting signs bearing advertisements for mostly long-gone brands. The menu's are printed on newsprint and in addition to the food and drink choices feature some interesting historical newspaper articles, for example about Leesburg's early police force -- an army of one who hitch hiked after bad guys because the city could not afford a squad car.
The wait staff are mostly attractive young women and there are never enough of them to service all the customers during peak periods, so expect to have a leisurely meal while visiting with friends and watching the game over a few beers.
This is not a fine dining establishment. The menu choices are limited and you'll do best to stick with something simple. The sandwiches and wraps are pretty good, but the real winner on the menu is the wings. They are not only tasty but also freakishly large -- so order them as a meal or plan to take part of your dinner home if you have them as an appetizer. Try some 'grilled' wings for a unique flavor, and since they have a large selection of sauces ask them to send a few different ones on the side so you can experiment.
This place is also family friendly; there is a very small video arcade in the back and people often bring their kids to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.
The food is gross and the service is even worse. My advice, Don't waste your time or money.
