I have been patronizing Takis for many years (more than 10 years). My family and I love Takis. It's one of our favorite places. It's the place we go to celebrate birthdays and other important occasions. We love the food and the atmosphere (my daughter calls it, "romantic). The pizza and greek salads are great. We've never had a bad meal there. I did read the other reviews. Sure, once in awhile you get a crabby waitress, anywhere you go, but life goes on. I give it a thumbs up! Give it a try.

I always visit Takis when I am in Leesburg. I enjoyed most the pizza - fantastic, then the gyros, and the salads are great too. Just tried the fried mozzarella sticks - those are great and so is the manara sauce. Always good food.

Stinky. We've been there several times - and then quit going. The first couple of times, the food and the service were great. Then the food started to slip. Then we started waiting longer and longer - for tables, for service - for everything. On one of the first visits we told the waitress how much we loved the olives in the salad. She brought us a couple more. During one of the last visits, we told a waitress the same thing - not wanting/asking for olives. She offered to bring us more, and then added that she would have to charge us for them. They sat us in the front of the restaurant, and the waitress complained the entire time about how much running back and forth she had to do (the place isn't that large). When we asked for a refill on drinks, she grabbed both glasses, spilling ice all over, and when she brought the drinks back she asked quite rudely if there was anything else we needed, because she wasn't going to "march all the way up to the front" again.

The last time we visited, we waited 10 minutes for a table, even though there were only 4 tables occupied. We were seated, and then waited and waited and waited - for drinks, menus, anything. A group of four came in after us, and the waitress went up to them immediately with menus, asking for drink orders. I turned around and pointed out that we had been there before that group, and the waitress snapped at me, saying she couldn't wait on everyone at once, and that we needed to wait our turn. She accused us of being rude! We walked out and never returned. We did make one trip to the "new" Takis at The Villages, but found it overpriced, and the service just as poor. The guy who took our order didn't write anything down, and of course the order was wrong. There was a group of about 20 sitting in the back of the restaurant, taking up most of the wait staff's time. When we tried to flag down our waiter, some employee (management maybe) told us that the staff was busy with the large group, and we would have to wait our turn. Even though the service wasn't that great, and the food was cold, we left a 20% tip. And our waiter had the audacity to complain about it to another employee before we were even out of earshot.
    We won't be returning.

You should really go back to the one in Leesburg. There are new owners there and have really improved the place. The food is great and the service has greatly improved. I've heard they have renovation plans to improve the bathrooms and other things which should make it even nicer in there.
