Good food, good service, and a great laid-back atmosphere. Casual dining with professional service.

Above and beyond our expectations: My 2 sisters, my nephew, and I took an unexpected trip to Alabama from North Carolina a few years ago, due to the sudden illness and subsequent death of my nephew's father. After a long, tiring and heartwrenching day, and a good nap I might add, we decided to look for a nice place to eat. Thank goodness we found Cecil's. The food was absolutely devine, the atmosphere was positively inviting, and our waitress, Tara, was the most unbelievably awesome we have ever had--anywhere. After taking our order and bringing us our food, she stopped by our table quite often. She didnt rush by with a quick, "Hows everything? Need anything?" attitude. She took her time and had actual conversation. We proceeded to tell her about the reason for our visit to Alabama. She took my little nephew 'under her wing' and told him about some history of the old house that is now known as Cecil's. She gave him the grand tour, so to speak. She also made him a special (non alcoholic, of course) drink while making us our oh so heavenly strawberry margaritas. We will never forget the kindness she showed us and especially the kindness she showed my nephew. She was the special angel God sent to our lives after a day of pure agony. Thank you Tara and thank you Cecil's.

One of our favorite spots!: We can't say enough good things about Cecil's. From the hot bread on the table shortly after the friendly waitresses take your order to the great value Cecil's is just the best. A hint: Eating on the sun porch is one of our favorite places.
