This is one of those rare gems of a Restaurant, that you wouldn't know about unless someone told you it was there (a locals only place), they offer no frills, but good food, very nice staff, at great prices.
We've eaten there on several occassions and have never been disappointed. The only thing I would like to see change is for them to accept Debit or Credit Cards, but at these prices who can complain.
For the uninitiated here is a typical dinner from there...I'll call in an order for Lasagna, they tell me it will be 20-25 mins. I get there, pay cash (their only accepted form of currency), pick up my order which consists of a large styrofoam container of Salad, complete with dressing, 2 Garlic Knots, and the tray of Lasagna (YUM YUM). My wife and I will eat until full on this one dinner and have enough left for the two of us to have another complete meal.
Now for the kicker...$13.25 including tax. I don't think I could make the same meal for that price. If you haven't been there you should go, if you've been you should go again. Family owned businesses offer diversity and new experiences that are lost in the chain restaurants. ENJOY!!!
Anna's pizza is the best! You have to get over yourself and plan ahead. They only take cash. So you will have to run out to the ATM if you don't have enough. If you want a meal, call ahead and order it. Then show up when they say it will be ready and take it home. Or you can eat outside at one of the two tables, or inside if it is slow. The reason it is so busy is that the food is GREAT and the prices are very reasonable. If you aren't expecting to be coddled, your experience will be great. This is not a five star restaurant. I am not sure but I think it is family-owned. They have their priorities right, great food and good service. The service is great if you go into it with an understanding that this is a very busy, successful pizza/Italian food place that doesn't have to take credit cards. They set their own rules. Also, they only make a certain number of pizza crusts per day. If they are gone, they are gone. Plan well and you will have a great meal. With plenty of leftovers!
Let me start off by saying this pizza place is a little run down looking, and the service was, well, mediocre, but when the pizza arrived at a table (YES I ATE IN!!!), it was one of the largest pizzas I've ever had. I remember getting pizza from other places and having that one large piece that EVERYBODY wanted. Well, Anna's gives you this in every slices.
The quality is good, except it was an extremely greasy, which some people like (I'm not one of them...).
I gave it three stars, and would recommend Anna's Pizza to some people, but would not be suprised if I was told I was wrong for sending them. :)
