Prairie Fire used to be my favorite place to eat. Now the seafood is not fresh and ever since Chef Nick left it is not the same. I will not recommend it to my friends anymore and I will not go back. If I am going to pay that much for a meal it needs to be fresh. I have also heard that they pass of some boxed desserts as "from scratch" desserts and that is just not right.
Best Restaurant in Birmingham!!! If you haven't been check it out! Everything is fresh, delicious, and chef inspired. You can sit at the chef counter and watch them make your meal and listen to them entertain! It is an energetic environment with great service. I very highly recommend!!!!
Prairie Fire, A Quiet Fire to Light Your Flame: Prairie Fire, very trendy, very metro...very very fresh and wonderful! The food here is fresh and can be spicy but very flavorful. This is one of those "chef owned" places that I crave here in Birmingham. It is easy to see how it does so well in the yuppy area of town that it is located in.
