I don't understand the woman that called the food average. It was EXCELLENT! And I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality.

Average. The good service and beautiful view are balanced by high prices for mediocre food, no better quality or menu than found at the local Denny's or Shoney's. It's a shame. This could be one of the best restaurants in Tuscaloosa, rivaling the best in Birmingham. Just fix the food!

Run of the mill food: This popularity of this restaurant rests largely on its lovely riverside location and menu of popular, but ordinary, items that can be gotten out quickly to the high-volume crowds which frequent it. I suspect the people who enjoy it are not looking for evidence of an inventive or talented chef in the kitchen, but appreciate an operation that can prepare standard fare that they are used to and like.

This is the place I take those out-of-town guests who are really looking for nice ambiance and don't really care that much for fine dining.
