Stix Restaurant

I recently visited the Fultondale location and the new building is the best they have going there. The food was not as good there and there were no Japanese cooks there our food was prepared by a man of Mexican decent and all of the other workers were caucasian. It was just a little weird to go there and there were no Japanese people operating the resturant. Did not seem authentic at all and my experience there was not good service was definetly not good.
I will not go back to this location.
Ths fultondale location will give the resturant name a bad reputation.

the Stix by the Galleria was vvery pleasant. I was skeptic at first about going bc I do NOT eat chinese or japanese and i was very pleased. The chefs are really nice and entertaining. The only problem is that the one by Galleria does not look as nice inside as the one in Fultondale.The one in fultondale is better as far as hosting very classy events. But food was great and worth the price. I paid 20 and it was enough to take home and share with someone else.so def.worth the money/experience

I went there for the first time with another couple last weekend and we had a good time. I eat Hibachi and sushi frequently and I was not very impressed at all. The sushi bar is tiny and they pack people in waaay too close at the Hibachi tables. I did not see their AL state rating but the place is not very clean at all. The hostess was kind of rude.

The sushi ingredients were somewhat fresh but the chef making my rolls must have been new cause they were rough looking. The ginger salad dressing must have been mixed with 50% water and was nasty. The meal itself was pretty good but the prices were kind of high. They seemed to be understaffed because we saw the table waiter just a few short times and I was only able to get him to fetch me one Kirin.

I have been to every Hibachi joint in Birmingham and this is not your best bet. I have yet to try SUMO at Patton Creek just down the road but that is my next stop. If you want a cleaner place to eat try Kobe on 280.
