User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMr. G's is always a good stop. They are nothing special in the looks department. But the food is wonderful. One person commented on it being discusting. That is the first time I have ever heard a comment like that. The are traditional Italian. If you are used to can or jar sause, you might not like their sause. It is traditional, so its has a bit more acid and its a little sweet. The lasigna is wonderful. Toast is wonderful. So good ive never tryed anything else on the menu. I always say I am, then I get to the order, and order the same. Give it a try, you wont be sorry.

I had my first Mr. G's experience in high school, after riding with my dad down to Demopolis to service some of their equipment. Years later, I ended up dating and eventually marrying a girl from Demopolis who reintroduced me to Mr. G's.
As usual the food was great and the portions were huge. They don't try to fill you up on salad and bread stick like some "italian" resturaunts. I'm praying that maybe one day they'll build one 50 in Selma....so me and the wife won't have to drive an hour to get our fix. -

Mr. G's has great food. Their lunch specials can't be beat! Also a great place to take the kids. Highly recommend.
