I always thought of going to Trowbridge's once or twice a month as a treat when I was at the University in the early 70'. I made a visit back to Florence On October 14 to see UNA vs. Valdosta (not a pretty sight!) and had to go to Trowbridge's for a hotdog before the game. It was as great as ever. The prices had not changed that much, staff was fabulous, and the atmosphere was the same. If you are ever in Florence, do go. I have always loved the great chili dogs, but the ham sandwiches were always sensational as well. My wife had the chicken salad sandwich and swore it was the best ever. We got there at 5:15 and noticed they closed at 5:30. Not a problem. They were gracious and never rushed us a bit. I will return when in the area. Hopefully, the Lions will fare better next time!
