User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsSuch a cute retro enviroment to eat in. The ice cream and sandwiches are great. It keeps me coming back. If you're ever in Scottsboro you need to stop by instead of just hitting a fast food place.

Just like the soda fountains of days gone by. Great food, great atmosphere, a good place to take the family for a quick snack while your shopping in the downtown area.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA very unique place!!!: Payne's is an Old Fashion Soda Fountain and a fun environment to eat in. It used to be a Drug Store and Soda Fountain but is now just the Soda Fountain and Sandwich Shoppe. They have a famous 'Slaw Dog' as well as many sandwiches and hamburger....they also have hand-dipped ice cream and other homemade desserts.
