BEST FILET &LOBSTER AROUND!!!!! MY GIRLFRIEND AND I AND ANOTHER COUPLE WENT THERE FOR DINNERLAST WEEK AND THE FOOD IS AWESOME,RESONABLY PRICED TOO;; WE SAT OUTSIDE IN THE COURTYARD AND LISTEND TO LIVE ENTERTAINMENT WHILLE WE HAD DINNER,THE ATMOSPHER REMINDED ME OF BOURBON ST IN NEW ORLEANS.THE PLACE WAS PACKED.THEY HAD A BAR SET UP OUT SIDE SO DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR DRINKS.
On Friday, Aug 14, 2009 a dear friend and I went to Gadsden to visit some family. They recommended we go to Courtyard. they eat there 2-3 times a week. The food was great..But that is where the compliments end. The waitress was awful. she had the personality of a rock......The bill was not that bad. It was $145. and the person paying was going to give her a $35 tip. we discussed the poor service and they decided to leave a total of $170....they were paying in cash....the denominations were: two $50's, three $20's, a $5, and five singles... .it was counted at least three times that I know of, maybe more. the waitress came by and was handed the $170...we went outside and were discussing what to do next, when after about 10 minutes the waitress came running out and said we only left $60. we were shocked, and we went in to see the owner...At that point the waitress said we only left $70 ..... It was $60 in the parking lot.....When I asked the waitress why the different amount she just stared at me. I just shook my head and we all left, NEVER to return, so be careful in there.
One of the worst experiences ever! I am so angry. After an hour at my table, we still did not have a salad. I had to finally ask for them. Ten minutes later, the table who sat down nearly 30 minutes after us received their food. Then the waitress tries to blame it on the large party in another room, and yet had no answer for how the two tables beside us already had their food. I ordered a filet medium and it was well done and the potato was to be loaded and only had a pat of butter. Even after expressing our displeasure in an assertive, but non-confrontational tone, we got only more excuses. I finally told them we should not pay for these meals. Not one of my parties' food was good. They offered nothing but excuses and didn't care that we were that unhappy. The management wouldn't even comp our appetizers. We spent nearly $100 bucks and took the food home to our dogs. It has always been in the past a good place to eat, but they aren't concerned about making customers happy...as long as they rake in the money.
