The food is good but severely overpriced! You can get the same quality food and more to eat for less money at Santa Fe!
The first time I went I was apalled. The service was awful. The waitress only stopped by the table three times and when she did she was rude and short with my friends and I. The food was cold.
The next time I went, I was not expecting anything much better, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I ate there alone and got great service. The food was really good.
I haven't seen the waitress that I got the first time, so maybe someone complained about her. Either way, I like going to the Pines as long as I pick something on the cheaper side of the menu. Their lunch special is always a good choice because it includes and entree and a dessert for around $7.
Oh, and the house dressing is delicious!
My wife and I went to The Pines for our anniversary and it was really good; much better than an experience I had there a couple of years back. We both had grilled shrimp and the crab claw appetizer and they were very good. My wife also had a small margarita. With a generous tip, total cost was $50. Good service, but the ambiance is not that great (get rid of the OSB walls). Overall, great experience and we will definitely be going back.
