I am a 27 year old mother of a 18 month old son. My brother and I both were patients of Dr. Norby and have nothing but great things to say bout him. I now live in Birmingham but choose to get on a six month waiting list to have my sone see Dr. Norby for his 1st dental appointment this past January. I do not see a problem with not wanting the parents to be in the back room. Most of the parents that see are problem are probably the main parents of the children that they cant control. Some kids act better when their parents are not around. They even remembered me from so many years ago. I love their office and will continue to go out of my way for my son to see him.
I have a 3 year old son that I took to our family dentist for teeth cleaning & just a check up. He would not cooperate at all so he referred us to Dr. Norby. Our first appointment, we got x-rays and he tried to check out my sons teeth, but he would not cooperate there either. He had some bad decaying spots on some of his front teeth and cavities that had to be filled before they worsened. We decided to have it done at the hospital under GA because of the extent of work that had to be done. Dr. Norby did an excellent job. My sons teeth look wonderful. He was able to really take his time and work on them since he was asleep. I would recommend him to all of my friends. He and his staff were friendly. They made my son feel like he was very special. I went to him as a child. I don't remember anything but good. They also let me go back with my son every time we go. It takes us 50 minutes to get there from our house, but well worth the drive!
One child has been seeing Dr.Norby for 10 Years other for 7 years; neither is afraid of the dentist and both like and respect Dr. Norby. Staff can be a little short sometimes and too busy. I always question my children about their experience and always have positive comments. I drive over an hour from West Georgia. He may not be perfect but who is? Sorry for anyone who has had a bad experience but after dozens of visits I would still recommend over most dentist.
