User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsDobbs only claim to fame is that its the oldest restaurant in Dothan, whereas its food and atmosphere and facility are anything but good. This place is like nearly all other BBQ restaurants in Dothan where they rely on a Carolina-mustard and vinegar based runny sauce. Regardless of your personal taste of the bbq sauce, the food even without it is very low quality.
Most of the bbq beef is very leathery and hard to chew. The bbq sandwich was very similar to a manwich sandwich. The facility is in desperate need of repair and while many see older "joints" to have character (and I do agree with that assessment), Dobbs has gone beyond a classical older theme restaurant and now is looking like a 70's restaurant that should have been condemned.
Service on the Tuesday I went was sub-par and the a/c at 7pm was blistering cold, making my visit there very uncomfortable. Restrooms were in need of major overhauling and outdated. Would I return...No.

Trash. If this is Dothan's idea of the best BBQ in town, Dothan doesn't know what great BBQ is.
