What a great place. Only wish they were open 7 days a week, because on Saturday night when that closed sign goes up, I know I will have to wait until Monday, and thats a long time to wait for a Cecils Cheeseburger. Love them when Shirley is cooking because she puts a little hot sauce on the burger and man does it set well with my tastebuds!! Keep on rockin Cecils, you have put at least 70 pounds on this Weaver gal since the 80s and I aint gonna start a diet that dont have Cecils in the required eating department!!! Thanks so much
Great food, just like in the '60s!: Nothing pre-cooked! Takes a few minutes longer but well worth the wait. The cheeseburger is the best I have ever had. Try the fudge cake and the hand-dipped ice cream. It'll become a habit.
Best Barbecue: People can talk about burgers, but among the best menu items I hope they never change is the barbecue sandwich or the barbecue salad. Traditional Southern-style pulled pork barbecue over bread or lettuce. Great plain or add whatever condiment you wish. Good choice either way.
The building is the old-style walk-up-and-get-an-ice-cream diner. Parking is a bit limited, so you may have to park across the street at the bank or up the street at the square, but it's worth the walk -- especially the sweet tea.
