This was our first IMAX film experience. I have to say, the graphics, screen and sound was wonderful. Very neat to be surrounded by the images.....but it was almost too much as the aerial video footage nearly gave us motion sickness. The seats were so terribly uncomfortable that I wouldn't go back again. In order to see the film correctly you need to lean your head back and look all around, but after 30 minutes of this, your neck is screaming! So, to get more comfortable you slump down in the seat but the angle puts pressure on your lower back. If the makers of this intended for you to view the video this way they should have made the seats at a better angle for viewing or given you a place to position your feet to eleviate back pressure. Seriously, we're not old! We're in shape, 20's and 30's and we were so uncomfortable trying to watch this movie, that we were checking our watches 25 minutes into it.
As for the movie itself, we saw the "Grand Canyon Adventure"-- and although the footage was nice....the message was entirely too steeped in political/emotional propaganda. It was basically an uninvited political message. It's a shame you can't take your kids to see a neat nature film without having them be preached to about radical environmental views. This was a completely left wing film and full of one sided environment views.....sad.
