Catfish Junction

I went here with high expectations as locals said it was very good. The catfish fillets were quite small, and very overloaded with grease. The catfish batter simply was similar to sandy dirt in texture, and had virtually no taste. The sweet tea was average but nothing that impressive. The hush puppies as the appetizer were good but relied too much on the cheese sauce to make a unique flavor rather than eating them separately. The "homemade" banana pudding was food service type banana flavored pudding with thrown in wafers and bananas..making it obvious it was not actually home made.

The layout was standard and the aesthetics were average with the pond out back. The men's restroom was in deplorable condition and looked in major need of a massive renovation with the smell of urine very strong. Health rating was 90 when visited. Would not recommend nor will return ever again. Rating 1-10 on Food: 2 Service: 3, Atmosphere: 4 Cleanliness: 1

Final judgement: Huge letdown.

Not what we expected: Although the atmosphere was great here, we were not impressed with the quality of food. The restaurant was clean and all staff was friendly. The food was not properly seasoned. More bland and adding salt did not improve it.
