The Pillars completely wowed us tonight. I only mentioned during a call for information that our reservation was for our anniversary and they were completely prepared when we got there. Quiet table in the back, and champagne with our desserts compliments of the chef. The food was FABULOUS! We highly recommend the crab cakes. For entrees we got the Blackened Duck breast and Grouper Pontchartrain. The duck was perfectly done, very tender and topped with a sweet pecan praline sauce and blue cheese. The grouper had large gulf shrimp, lump crab, and the most delectable mushrooms ever. For dessert we had Creme Brulee which also did not disappoint. Our waiter was very friendly and courteous. The house itself was nicely decorated. We highly highly recommend the Pillars for true first class food and we will definitely be making this a must have stop every time we visit Mobile.

Best meals anywhere: We've lived in San Francisco and Atlanta. My wife and I have been to France and Italy twice each. Our two meals at Pillars were the best anywhere. Brilliant chef/owner. Wonderful service and ambience. We will be returning to Mobile to experience Pillars again.
