User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI'm in the medical profession myself and understand where Dr. Davis comes from with the pain medicines mentioned below. The pain medicines could have actually caused the bleeding ulcer. By any measure, after I moved back home from the Carolina, I saw several different doctors. However, after my wife (who's also in the medical field) told me she was impressed with Dr. Davis geniune care for his patients, we both started to see him. True his office is packed, however, if you've done reading on rural healthcare, you will see that it takes that for a physician to survive and be competitive today. I gladly tell people who ask me who's my doctor that I see Glenton Davis.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMy husband's doctor left his practice so my husband had to find another doctor. I had recalled Dr. Davis being so nice in the ER many years ago that I suggested he try him. I regret that suggestion so much! My husband takes pain meds to control an issue he has and has a totally separate doctor for that. At any rate, when Dr. Davis was taking his medical history my husband had to tell him he took pain meds every so often and only as needed. He didn't take them on a daily basis. Dr. Davis looked up at my husband very sharply and said, very cruelly, "YOU WON'T GET PAIN MEDS FROM ME." My husband replied, "I AM NOT ASKING FOR THEM. I just want you determine what is wrong with me." Dr. Davis did EXACTLY as the writer below stated, he rushed my husband through. Helped him with nothing. Attriuted his pain to his pain meds. (?????) The audacity of that man! He knew NOTHING of my husband. Guess what? My husband had a bleeding ulcer that, had he listened to Dr. Davis, would have gone untreated.
True story, folks. I have not added to or taken away from this story.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsDr. Davis is a good Doctor if you can get him to stay still and listen to what you have to say for any period of time. He was our mother's doctor and we respected his medical expertise. He just does not take much time with you as I would like.He talks too fast and you really a little more time when you are visiting his office. He has more patients than he can see and it is like a warehouse of people when you are there. Please limit your patient load and give the people a little more time and then you will be the best doctor in Selma.
